Originally from Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, I spent time teaching there before moving out west. While living in Las Vegas, I developed a small business called Seams Like Old Times, creating period folk art reproductions for merchandising. Eventually, I returned to the east coast, landing in NC, where I have family.
I have a wide variety of interests, from mixed media art to playing the fiddle and hammered dulcimer. I am also the proud owner of two Westie dogs, with quite entertaining personalities!
I have always been passionate about helping others, over the years. I am involved in church life and have volunteered with various organizations including Give Kids The World, Homes For Our Troops, Meals On Wheels and Urban Ministries of Durham.
